Andor Series 2 Review

This is my, Jonathan Glazier, Andor series 2 review. There is no doubt in my mind with all stellar reviews “Andor” is one of the very best star wars spin offs. in this short review i want to answer why Is Andor the Best Star Wars Spin Off, will there be a series 3 of Andor, Is series 2 the end of Andor.

Andor has officially become the most consistently acclaimed Star Wars project in the franchise’s 48-year history.

I think “Andor” is the Star Wars for grown-ups, not that I think the original is for kids, but it’s fair to say it’s for big kids. Andor started out as a show for mature audiences, complex and political rather than just the usual Star Wars good versus evil. This was about the oppressed versus tyranny, and there’s a big difference in storytelling. I did have a moment of panic that Series 2 had gone bad when Cassian reached his rendezvous and was captured by the rabble. They seemed to inject an uneasy comic element rather than portray the incompetent rabble it was really meant to show. But it soone developed into complex and very satisfying mature relationships.

I won’t get into spoilers, but regarding the question of a 3rd series and whether series 2 ends the saga, I have two thoughts. “Andor” is a prequel to “Rogue One,” which in turn begins the urgent Rebel Alliance fight against a weapon of mass destruction. That’s no secret. This series ends at the beginning of that story—Disney even auto-links to the film at the end of the last episode. So personally, I think this is the sensible conclusion of the Andor story. However, the machine of entertainment runs on success, and this has been a success. I’m sure a third series could easily be constructed. I for one would welcome another 10 episodes of this great story.

This is a must-watch. The acting is of the quality we’d all expect, and the storytelling is intelligent. There’s enough action to satisfy, but it serves as necessary punctuation against a strong story of plotting, twists, and turns. Yes, there are still the Star Wars trademarks of humor, mainly from the droids. I loved it, and if non-sci-fi lovers can get past the character names and the use of the word “blaster,” it’s a great story. Oh, and I just wanted to say, I think the writers must have been on a team outing to Les Misérables, as the resistance on Ghorman had some resemblance to the French Revolution. One of the most interesting aspects from the perspective of the Star Wars ecosystem, and this isn’t a spoiler, is that the Jedi don’t appear in the series. This unique approach will likely become the subject of academic study someday.
